I have Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS.
ksimus-boolean worked okay after I recompiled it. KSimus is now a bit
old, and a lot has changed since it was written. Please excuse the
extra verbosity here. The output may vary, depending on what you have
already installed.

Hello Pedro,
It took some time for me to install Natty Narwhal, which I did by
upgrading from 10.04 LTS. Before the install, I tested gnome-

Since my Firefox was upgraded to 3.0.7, this problem has not recurred.
I'm sorry but I lack the technical expertise to be able to describe what
is going on 'behind the scenes' when I click one of these links; all I
know is that for some sites, pages are seen by the browser as being

Hi Pedro,
I can't currently try it on Jaunty because I've got Intrepid, though it doesn't
occur with Intrepid, simply because the Xscreensaver hacks mentioned (Substrate
and others) are not available. If I upgrade to Jaunty, I'll try again.

Thank you for replying to my bug report, and commenting on it. Now that
you mention it, yes, I did use the closed-source Shockwave Flash plugin.
It might be better for my system's health if I switch to the open-source
one.

Something rather important that I forgot to mention: I've disabled
SELinux ('selinux=0' in boot kernel line), and hangups with Sox still
happen when playing audio on the internal sound device (CK604, in my
case). Using MPlayer, there are no problems with OSS or ALSA.

I think I've fixed this, though it needs to be confirmed. This is a
hardware issue with the Creative SB Audigy 2 NX, I think. In short,
going into the BIOS and setting the onboard USB controller mode to USB
