If it helps, I added these parameters and they help a bit more, now
instead of happening several times a day it happens once a day for now.
In the /etc/default/grub file I added the parameter:

Confirmed, after adding the nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to the GRUB file it
worked. I tested 3 cases:
1. Reboot without Log out afterwards.
2. Reboot with a Log out afterwards and then try to log in again.
3. Reboot with a Log out afterwards, try to log in again and then reboot.
It worked for all cases.

with the Nvidia driver once going to the 4.15 kernel version. So today I
received the Intel microcode updates + Nvidia 390 which is compatible

Just if anybody is wondering, apport came enabled by default on Ubuntu
16.10 and in I would say 15 minutes of installing it from scratch I had
already 5 error reports, again, of things that were fixed automatically
when the app reloaded itself. It just pushes the entry point of Ubuntu
for new users
Same applies for Phiaton Chord MS 530. If I do not use A2DP, the mic
works. If I set it to A2DP, the mic dies. I had to use the Bluetooth
Manager (blueman) because the Bluetooth manager that comes with 16.04
could not handle the bluetooth set correctly.
So basically, up to 16.04, A2DP + Mic is yet

Excellente, only did 2 steps and rebooted. All is working fine with
nvidia-331. After installing the nvidia-331 package and before rebooting
do the following:
sudo apt-get purge bumblebee
sudo rm -fr /etc/modprobe.d/bumblebee.conf

This is happening in Ubuntu 13.10 32/64 and 14.04 32/64 using wine

It is related to winetricks:
In the terminal when I typed on previous versions winetricks the --gui
parameter was called automatically (this might or might not be a bug
depending if you wanted the gui
Did test on 5 PCs. 2 had 64 bit. The 2 with 64 bit had problems with
rt2800pci and compiling rt2860sta had the same problem. Now here is the
thing i also tried 32 bit and on 2 pcs it did not work. It started working
after upgrading 3 days ago. Only one worked out of the box. I am writing

Thanks friend. Just tested with a live flash drive of ubuntu 13.10 32 bit.
The wifi card works perfectly.
I then installed ubuntu on the pc 32 bit again and it worka out of the
box.
The problem is 64bit specific I see.

This is back. Using 13.10 64 Bit am having this issue:

Using 12.10 and 13.04, I tried what Scott O'Nanski just mentioned. Using
guvcview (or any other webcam software) other than cheese works
perfectly on several types of webcams. Juts tested an HP 1080p camera
and a Genius one. Both work perfect. But if I use cheese with them,
everything looks lagged.
I just happen to stumble upon this bug which I am also having. For an
Intel DZ68DB motherboard, using Ubutnu 13.04 64 bit I get this

As you can see, there are several *BAD*gran_size warnings. I included
the rest just for reference.

Has the fix been applied to 12.04 and 13.04? I am getting abnormal
network activity. Many small packets are send/received and is do to
this.
