Our solution for now and maybe forever:
disabling proxy completely for all ubuntu machines.
Our IT administrators have reviewed the issue and found out that some
services from other systems got massive problems with the proxy too. So
the conclusion was, to disable the proxy for all machines havin

Just today we installed a new ubuntu server 11.10 for testing an OpenERP
instance.

The problem is still present.
I'm still stuck on Kubuntu 11.04, because of update problems concerning my work
environment. I've updated my system (only patches) with a mobile connection
without proxy, but that's not fully conform with the company rules so i would
like to avoid that.

I am using Kubuntu 11.04 behind a http proxy.
KPackageKit fails without reason, so I tried it with apt-get.
The result was, that apt-get tries to download packages, but the velocity
breaks up and apt-get retries the download. This results in nearly
12 matches
