Public bug reported:
First, Netflix asked me to install a new version of Firefox (newer than
47). I updated to version 53, and the new message was: "this does not
seem to be an original version of Firefox". Now, it only says that
Firefox is not compatible with Netflix.

I have a similar problem after upgrading to version 3.2.0.40. Everything on the
machine got instable.
screenshots of a zone on the screen would stall the system completely beyond
recovery.
Booting gives errors as in BAD LUN (. and sometimes not even booting at
all, with pitch black screen
I came here because I had the same problem. I can confirm that this bug
goes away after applying the patch suggested by salgado.

I figured out that disabling the Logo elsewhere called splashsceen (in
the file /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc set Logo=0) does the job. funnily
enough this really cancels all problems (no more messing around with
bamf or lo-menubar). So the major bug is about the splash-screen messing
up something in
Hi Peter,
usually I wouldn't interfere, but the problem you have got seems
strangely familiar to me. I once had this problem after a programm
messed up the compiz settings. Try to look in the Compiz Settings dialog
and look for the program switcher. It could be that the switcher
settings are clear
by the way, I think we should tell whether we are using "Quickstart" of
libreoffice - I do not use it, i.e. no instance of libreoffice is
running when I double click on a ODS or XLS file in Nautilus.
sorry for the two messages ...

very strange: libreoffice (in my case calc) is lost in the task switcher
as soon as it is opened from the desktop or from nautilus. the funny
thing is, that it also results in unity loosing focus, i.e. the unity
bar (on the left) is sometimes not more visible and also the "unity
shell" is only open
Ah, I forgot: I experienced problems in Writer and Calc, just tried to
copy and paste things around and soon got stuck. (only Magic SysRq Keys
unfreezed the system!!!)

Hi,
as far as I can guess this, this is not a Lenovo issue, but a problem of the
implementation of the graphic drivers. (i am SM666AT in the above mentioned
ubuntuforum-thread) My PC is a HP Elitebook and uses the "Intel(R) Sandybridge"
drivers, that are also used in the Lenovos. And as soon as
Hi,
I faced the same problem on my Maverick Installation (it was an upgrade
from Karmic->Lycid->Maverick). But I could fix it by simply deleting all
(!) information on calendars in evolution (I recommend exporting all
appointments before doing that). That is deleting the directories

I agree with TreviƱo! If the theme setting is fine for every other
application except (!) the indicator, than the indicator should fix it.
PLEASE use another (more appropriate) setting out of the themes if you
have to / want to, but staying with this is really awful! (and lacy ...

@bryce: your change worked for me, but I had some troubles to get the

the Laptop LCD went black, but finally - after 5 tries it worked, I could not

I have an hp1005 here. The first time I went to K-> Applications ->
