FWIW, I have the same problem on an HP Mini 1100, even with the latest beta.
I've left it blank just for debugging this problem, so happy to do anything
that's needed to shed some light.

I ended up replacing the card with an Intel one because the laptop was
basically an expensive brick :)
I do still have it, so I'll try to put it back and try that package.
It does seem to be an extended problem:

Public bug reported:
This has been happening at least since 11.10 on several different computers.
Whenever I start an LXC, it changes the volume of the host computer. Sometimes
it turns it up, sometimes down.
It's quite puzzling :)

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
Package: lxc 0.7.5

It was a pretty large picture, yes, 4k pixels or more, although I can't seem to
find it to reproduce :(
Will re-open if I do.

Xorg crash
Public bug reported:
Since the latest upgrades, switching workspaces with the keyboard
shortcuts (super + shit + arrows), besides always bringing up the dash,
it now only works up/down, not left/right.

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04

After upgrading, u1cp asks me to install U1
To manage notifications about this bug go to:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu
Public bug reported:
After upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04, the control panel wants me to
install U1, but it was already installed in 11.10, so it feels like
something broke.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
Package: ubuntuone-control-panel 2.99.5-0ubuntu2
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3
Not sure that the priority is Medium if the fix hasn't been released.
As it stands, it's unusable and breaks the usage of workspaces for over a week.
Not very in line with keeping 12.04 stable throughout the cycle ;)

Public bug reported:
The shortcut to switch workspaces has been changed to super + shift +
arrows (makes it much more uncomfortable to trigger it now, but, anyway)
and now it triggers the dash and/or the shortcuts overlay each time.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
Package: unity 5.4.
