I use the uim input method, which works fine with non-snap apps, and
used to work with the non-snap package of Chromium. In 20.04, chromium
package now becomes a snap, and uim input method not longer works
(rendering the browser useless).

I'm having this same error occur on a new Ubuntu 18.04 VM, on VMWare
Player. I don't understand why it was marked as "won't fix" for
systemd... ?
This is happening when I suspend my host machine (windows 10). Upon
resuming, the VM has crashed and goes through the startup process, then

If anyone is still having problems. The error came back for me after using my
fix above using dconf editor.
Navigated to org/gnome/desktop/media-handling and unticked automount and
I am experiencing the same problem.
To be more precise, I can enable/disable my touchpad at will using
`xinput set-prop` on the appropriate device or inserting/removing the
kernel module `psmouse`. But anyhow, fn+f9 is the only special key

Dell Latitude XT2 touchpad
Still an issue. I've switched to arch linux and was testing via live
iso, so I can't do that in my current install. Would a vm work the same,
or not? I *could* install ubuntu on a partition temporarily but I'd like
to avoid that if possible, as I no longer use ubuntu. I just want to
follow through
Nevermind, just realized I'm an idiot. I have two perfectly good usb
sticks I can install ubuntu to and the mainline kernel debs, so I can
still test this properly. Having some domestic issues, but I will get it
tested within a day or two.

against saucy for you by booting the iso from hdd using grub2, but I
can't do that with the 3.12 kernel because I'd need to reboot, and since
that's a live environment it won't keep the changes.

I forgot to mention in my original report that the drives I was transferring
data from are
Toshiba 3TB NTFS formatted copying files to Buffalo 3TB drive NTFS formatted.
I did some more testing. I copied a little over 500Gb of data from a
1TB USB drive

Ubuntu 13.04 freezes when copying large amount of data from one USB
As suggested I upgraded to the latest upstream kernel.
The issue persists but with slight variation.
After about 2 hours of running the copy the gui froze as already described but
this time I could crtl-alt-F1 to a terminal which I was not able to do when the
freeze happened with the older

I have a Dell Latitude XT2, and this bug affects me, I'm using xubuntu
raring x64. Touchpad is reported as ps/2 mouse, cannot adjust standard
touchpad settings.

One more peice of data. I am able to prevent (workaround) the issue by
disabling Force complete redraw on intial damage in the Workarounds
plugin, which is enabled by default. Ironic, I know.

webcam regression after 2.6.32 under vmware

Unfortunately this is happening again. vmware fusion 5.0.3, os x
10.8.3, ubuntu precise guest with kernel 3.2.0-38-generic.
It might be related to USB bandwidth. USB webcams seem to work but only
at low resolution, 320x240. Attempting 640x480 gives a frame or two and
then freezes with
