backup, both over SSH, to an external hard drive and to the internal

I am unable to install icedtea-7-plugin due to this issue because it depends on
icedtea-netx.

I already have the ownership of that folder, so that does not seem to be the
problem for me. I did, however, try activating deja-dup logs like you did. I

I am experiencing this problem in 14.04 (it started recently, I don't remember
exactly when).
Deja dup does indeed remember the password, but it prompts for it with regular,
short, intervals with the password pre-entered. I just have to press «continue»
every few minutes.

An errormessage popped up during installation and during cleanup,
telling me that there had been an error with the "whoopsie" package. The
upgrade continued, and all seems to work. (I don't know what whoopsie
does.)

After the upgrade to 12.04 from 11.10, it is no longer possible to open links
in the system's default browser from Liferea.
Clicking any link or button that is supposed to open a webpage in whatever
browser the default is set to, does nothing but print this error message:
