the window size though).
I think this is not intuitive at all. Am I the only one to think so?
I'm wondering if the behaviour should not be the opposite: dont show the
panel by default. Or automatically display it only for doc

displayed by default when opening a PDF for the first time. If I hide it
(F9), close Evince and re-open it with the same file, the panel is
hidden. This is expected, OK.

Had a similar issue - fresh 64-bit install of 10.04, all I've done is
install Wine and tweak my xorg config a bit, I get through the auth
process, it locks up for a few seconds, says 'Facebook authorized' and
won't let me add anything...
Rodrigo's fix worked. Mark this as resolved, and upstream th
update: turns out one of the SATA controllers on my board was fried.
Swapped the controller the drive was plugged into, everything's working
now, sorry for the interruption!
