I'm also seeing this problem. I did a minimal net install on x86_64.
This problem occurs when I try to install apport:
$ sudo apt-get install apport

Just discovered that the -4 version of the .deb exists in pool/main/p
/python-vobject. Installed and it works fine. Doesn't appear to be in
maverick-proposed yet, however.

to virtual console 1 and log it to reboot the computer, so the machine

I followed the steps in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed and ran
# apt-get install -t intrepid-proposed linux
# shutdown -r now new kernel

When I insert a D-Link DWL-650 (rev I2) pcmcia card into my Dell
Inspiron 4150 running an updated Gutsy Gibbon, the system locks up
immediately. The system is completely unresponsive, even to Alt-

I have a dual-head setup. The primary VGA crontroller is a 845G based,
and the secondary vga controller is a Matrox Millenium II. When I
enable Xinerama in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, the X server dies with signal 11
immediately upon

Both suspend and hibernate work when I manually use them from the GNOME
Quit button. The system also properly hibernates when I close the
