Detects network card, lcpci lists it, but detects/lists no wifi networks,
cannot connect to manually entered network
Work-around by connecting another usb wifi network card, installing
bcmwl-kernel-source, rebooting. After rebooting, removed usb network
card, the broadcom

I fixed the problem by installing a sound card and bypassing the
installed chip. I have heard that some chips are not really audio
chips, instead they use Windows itself for sound... so no Windows no
sound.
Do you know if that is true?

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu was installed onto a self built PC. The motherboard is a PC
Chips A13G Socket AM2. The audio chip is a Realtec ALC 660.
Everything else works fine. Just no sound.If it helps I've attached
