Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: texlive-base
With some latex files, figure captions are not processed correctly. This
is due to an outdated caption.sty shipping with texlive on Ubuntu.
The problem has already been described in detail at
tex.stackexchange.com:
I can confirm this. In Ubuntu 9.10, font rendering in Firefox was
perfectly fine. After 10.4 upgrade, Firefox nolonger renders fonts as
specified in gnome's appearance settings. It is like it is doing it's
own antialiasing, but ignoring the subpixel smoothing options.
I have attached a screenshot
I've notices this on Karmic as well. Annoying as hell. I can't regularly
replicate it yet, but the bug exists.

Hi
I am developing OpenGL applications on Ubuntu. The problem is that
libglu1-mesa-dev does not include a .pc file, meaning that you cannot
use pkg-config to configure the build process.
Is it possible to get a .pc included in the package?
** Affects: mesa (Ubuntu)
I don't think this case should be closed. I have just completed an
upgrade on another machine, and I have the same problem again. For 3
machines all to have this problem where apt says that flashplugin-
nonfree is installed, and Firefox says its not there must be something
wrong.

I am also experiencing this problem on my XPS M1210 after upgrading from
8.10 to the 9.04 beta. It appears there are several bugs regarding
scrolling with a touchpad, so perhaps they are all related to the
synaptics driver.

Not sure if this is the same issue I am having.
After an upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 beta, Firefox was complaining that
additional plugins were required. It was, of course, talking about the
flash plugin.
doing a:
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
told me that the plugin was already
The workaround for me (I want full subpixel hinting for terminal) is to
do this:
cd /etc/fonts/conf.d
sudo unlink 10-hinting-medium.conf
sudo ln -s ../10-hinting-full.conf .
That fixes it for me. However, it should really be following the font
settings in the Gnome Appearance Preferences dialog.
I was about to file a new bug report but found this one.
I am fairly certain that from a usability point of view, this is
definitely a bug. I have the open with dialog up trying to open a text
file (with a .txt extension). The dialog recognises the file type, but
the application listing is:
