The problem boils down to this:
I am using g_app_info_get_display_name() to look up the name of the app.
This *should* take the current locale into account. Seems that this is
broken.

My thought was that libgnome-menu already toXDG_CONFIG_DIRS into
account, and I just needed to add some XML declaration to the .menu file
in order for libgnome-menu to scan the default dirs (which I think I
already am).

Can anyone elaborate on why the normal Java6 plugin is not available
anymore since Lucid? IcedTea is a replacement that works on *zero* of
the applets I've tried so far. The plugin from Sun available in Karmic
and back has always just worked flawlessly.

Tracker will start by dbus activation. The 'right' fix is to make the
Tracker backend of the filechooser not launch Tracker, merely see if it

peek_tracker_running() method to libtracker, or disable dbus activation.

I installed Dapper from the 64bit-amd desktop cd without problems. First

I have similar problems here. Alternate install CD hangs when starting
to install/load packages. It hangs for a while and then gives me an
error about downloading libgcrypt.
The edgy desktop amd64 cd just hangs at a black screen after usplash has
timed out or something (usplash is black/white but

At some point X just becomes utterly unrepsonsive. I can move the mouse

I actually don't understand this... the beagle-live handler should not
be shown at all if beagle with corresponding python bindings isn't
installed...
Or is the bug about python-beagle not being installed by default?

Require python-beagle to get beagle live search working, but the package
Deskbar plugins can have a More... button in the plugins list. The
beagle-live plugin already detects if beagled is running, and allows the
user to start it via a dialog popping up when More... is clicked.
It would be easy to patch deskbar-applet to have beagle-live popup a
dialog asking whether
A fix landed in HEAD recently. If there is a demand, I suppose I can
backport it.

I think this should be fixed in 2.15.5. I remember this issue from a
while back and I *think* I fixed it :-)
Anyway, I can't reproduce it here in 2.15.5. Please ping again when
2.15.5 hits the block.
