scim-launcher crashed with SIGSEGV in scim::FrontEndModule
Thanks for reporting. I wonder if the crash happens when you start scim
manually. Can you test with im-switch -s none, then once you've
logged into KDE, run the following in a terminal?
export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
export QT_IM_MODULE=xim
scim -d

Mutiple users have confirmed that with scim 1.4.7, FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic
= true completely fixes (works around) the lock-up issue.
So Wenzhuo, if you are still experiencing lock-up with
FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = true setting in up-to-date gutsy, please
provide more information, such as which scim
I believe this is fixed in gutsy now, as 1.4.7-1 (as well as Ubuntu's
1.4.7-1ubuntu1) is using ln -sf instead of ln -s in debian/rules
now.

Known problem. Please set /FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic to false in your
~/.scim/config to work around the problem. In gutsy the value is false
by default so this shouldn't affect new installs (too much).

This is most likely the same bug as bug #66104.
Please following the instructions there and change

fixes the problem.

This is expected for non en_US locales. It's due to a change in gutsy.
To go back to feisty's behavior, GNOME users please try im-switch -s
scim-immodule. KDE users (or more specifically, skim users) please read
documents and set up environment variables by yourself.

Yes, I've read that upstream bug, however I don't quite believe what is
claimed there.
Can you please point out which Linux system has gnuplot compiled with
builtin readline and have HOME, END, and DELETE keys working? In the
upstream bug only the upstream developer can make it work in kconsole.
Hi Christophe,
I am confused. You reported this bug against scim-hangul, but in your
report you said the problem is UIM-hangule[23]. So which package are
you using? Can you show the result of command dpkg -l scim-hangul and
dpkg -l uim-hangul on your system?
Also, please give more infomation
Okay, I looked at the patch I made, but unfortunately they DIDN'T WORK
(I thought it did, I was wrong).
But using libeditline still seems very possible, I'll continue trying to
make it work. Meanwhile since this bug is about command line history
and already fixed, this is the wrong place to
