I wanted to update and say that I have been able to successfully resume from suspend with the latest NVidia drivers from NVidia. (version 100.*) X does freeze if I have Beryl or Compiz Fusion running when I suspend, but ctrl+alt+bkspc allows me to login again with full functionality. It may be
