Occasional sound drops in Wine via PulseAudio
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371897
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
Bugs, which is subscribed
I have created a version of the wine1.2 package that includes a native
PulseAudio driver for wine. This packaged is targeted at the Karmic
distribution, so if you are testing out the new release can you try this
package and see if it improves the Wine sound on Ubuntu for you.
If you try it, can
Will do.
BTW have you any idea why karmic stops syslogging. Many of the log files
state 'rsyslogd has been HUPed, type=lightweight' and then you get no
further logging during the session.
Do you know if that is by design, or is that another bug. It certainly
makes pulling faults out a great deal
I'm seeing this as well. When the rsyslog is getting the new
'lightweight' restart command the log files are not being reopened
properly and nothing gets logged from the kernel.
It makes debugging a right pain.

re-checked this on 2.6.31-5 and the system appears to want to negotiate
to MCS 32 40Mhz or MCS 33 40Mhz which causes an awful lot of drop outs

However it appears to be much better than before.

There seems to be an ongoing debate as to whether to add a direct

I think we need to get a consensus on which direction to take first -
