Changing from a CD-RW to a CD-R fixed the problem for me on two machines

I have the same problem with a number of different configurations: 3
computers running 10.04, 3 different CD-RW burnt with the desktop 10.10
i386 iso downloaded twice, and one with the 10.04.1 i386 iso. Also tried
burning on two different computers (just in case it was the CD burner
that was bad).
