It is working now! Using kernel 5.4.0-42-generic and adding the
"i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs" kernel parameters to grub made the touchpad
work.

thats weird, after trying multiple times, the update manager failed
again with an error. But then I found out that it had already upgraded

I have two keyboard layouts enabled on my PC, English (USA) and
Russian, they are switched by pressing Alt+Shift (the default).
If automatic login is enabled and I get logged in when the system
starts, without entering my password on the login screen, everything

Thanks a lot guys for finding the solution to this issue. Behavious is
identical as described above on Maverick/10.10 (both, bug + solution).

I can confirm this too on a updated natty. Happens when using hot
corners and when using the maximize button, but seems only to affect
konsole - other programs like firefox work fine

Yesterday I gave Natty a try and touchpad vertical and horizontal
scrolling worked out of the box!

with the STRG S Funktion. Then a message like Totem konnte kein Bildschirm
Foto aus diesem Film erzeugen.
The Film was self recorded with a Hauppauge TV Card.
