Jaunty Beta. Wifi LED also stays on at all times. Before Beta LED was always
off. Function keys work as normal.

Actually, I noticed something else about mine. It starts off, but turns on
if I hit the function key. At that point wifi radio is off, but the light
is on. Then whenever I hit the function key it flashes off for a moment and
turns back on. This same flashing behavior occurs when changing my MAC

Running "rmmod dell-laptop" and then "modprobe -i dell-laptop" fixed it.
The module was shown as running in "lsmod" before this, so I still don't
know exactly what was wrong. Either way, its fixed now.

Vitali, that fix causes some problems with transparency. The fix for a
certain UXA transparency bug was to turn off indirect-rendering.

Yep, that solved my problem. For a fix, one could turn off the
--indirect-rendering option in fusion-icon. Although I'm still curious
as to why that causes a problem. Anyone have any thoughts?

gksudo also does not shade the rest of the screen.

No, I haven't built mesa from source before. I ran "ls -R /usr/local/ |
grep -i mesa" just to be sure, and got no output. Do you know of
anything else that might cause the problem?
