Same for me. USB stick loaded with pendrive tool delivers exactly the
error as described above on my standard PC which usually boots every
sort of linux system without any problem. I have checked the ISO and
tried multiple times. No installation is possible.

I did several fresh installs of Ubuntu on Virtualbox - however, slightly

Mode, because grub2 does not make the user of a singleboot (Ubuntu only)

In Power Management Preferences under the "On Battery Power" tab, I have
"Reduce backlight brightness" ticked. However, when I unplug the mains
power from my Dell D830 laptop, the brightness remains unaffected
(apparently indefinitely)
The delay is one thing, but it's the not having any visual feedback
(e.g. busy icon) that's most disconcerting, as you don't know whether or

I'm getting the same with Lucid Lynx beta 1. Specifically, I'm getting
the 'bt_audio_service_open' error message with every file (audio or
video) that I play. They all appear to play with no problems, however!
e.g.
mplayer 01\ -\ Sinfonia\ in\ D\ Major\,\ No.7\:\ Allegro\ assai.ogg
bt_audio_serv
It seems to resume fine when I manually select 'Sleep' from the
Indicator Applet.

I have Power Management configured to sleep upon closing the laptop lid.
On this occasion, I shut the lid, my laptop went into
I believe I am affected by this. When I shut the lid of my laptop it
does NOT sleep (despite being set to sleep upon lid close) as the power
LED remains active. When I open the laptop, after a brief delay I am
presented with the main GDM login screen. After logging in, I get the
crash report.
