The fix for 544590 (kernel 2.6.32-23.37) do not change anything for me, the bug
is still there after upgrade.
The only way to go at the moment is to remove the "splash" boot option.

I have the same problem since I upgrade to Lucid.
It occur randomly only one or two time a week, other boot are fine.
It stuck at the Plymouth screen and need to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot. It
always boot normally the second time.
