I'm one of the package maintainers from Debian. Unfortunately it took a
while to get the package into sid, then testing. Since then, we passed
the feature freeze for Precise. I believe this is a low impact package
as no other packages depend on it, and it will help people to write more

Attached is the successful build log for StarPy and Precise.

And update to the original post, after talking with the upstream Debian
maintainer it seems at the time creating a seperate package for nsca-
client was a 'waste of HDD resources' in the main repository.
In fact, the next release of nsca into Debian sid will contain the nsca-
client package.

Understood, as it stands right now either 1 or the other package can be
installed. This might not be the idea solution right now, but I am
reluctant to rework the package control file for this release right now.
I do agree that dropping the conflict and adding a depends on the nsca-

@herb: Like the upstream issue mentions, we will loose a fair bit of
functionally removing DAHDI from Asterisk. Specifically,
res_musiconhold.so. As for ConfBridge, yes it does not depend on DAHDI,
however it also does not support the same functionality as MeetMe.
