[Bug 1168915] Re: Visit Homepage link is non-functional

2015-11-27 Thread PoxyPig
This appears to be caused by the fact that synaptic usually insists on opening as root. If I open synaptic from the menu it requires that I enter my admin password. The Visit Homepage link is there but does nothing. I can drag it to my open browser (as suggested above) where it works. When I ope

Further to my above description of this issue, I have just noticed that the second copy of 'Audio CD' in PCManFM is only present when the disc is mounted. If the upper copy is right-clicked there are two options 'Unmount Volume' and 'Eject Removable Media' whereas the second copy only shows 'Unmo

I have this issue with two copies of 'Audio CD' always being shown in PCManFM 1.2.0. On my system I also have Nemo 1.8.4 which correctly shows only one 'Audio CD', implying the problem is with PCManFM. After logging out and back in again there are usually two copies of 'Audio CD' shown on the de

[Bug 1196339] Re: Firefox "Open Containing Folder" opens Audacious instead of File Manager

2015-02-15 Thread PoxyPig
After reading again Set Hallstrom's post I looked at my /usr/share/applications/defaults.list and found it had inode/directory=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop As I do not have Nautilus on my system I changed the inode/directory entry to point to PCManFM but that change had no effect.

I have this issue and am using Lubuntu Trusty with the default file manager PCManFM. If "Open Containing Folder" or "Show in File Manager" is clicked in any application with those options, I find Audacious opens rather than the file manager. After Audacious is uninstalled, I find that Google Ch

Thanks for your help. I'm sorry for the delay in replying, I have been away. The issue occurred in Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric (final release), I am unsure what the version number of Unity was as I have now removed it from my system. I now use Lubuntu 11.10 as I have a desktop computer. The Unity GUI ap

[Bug 874917] [NEW] Random text size in file manager list view

2011-10-15 Thread PoxyPig
Public bug reported: Using the Unity file manager in list view, the text appears with an apparently random size. Clicking on a sub-directory will open it with a different text size to that just seen in the parent. On navigating around, it seems the text size is randomly set in the first instance,

I too have this problem. I am using the Classic desktop and have auto-login set. My file system is not encrypted. About 50% of startups result in one of my applets failing with the described error. Which applet fails appears to be entirely random; if the system is re-started it is unlikely that
