It seems PortMidi is being compiled incorrectly.
PortMidi provides two libraries, libportmidi and libporttime. libportmidi uses
libporttime which means it should link against it, but it doesn't:
$ ldd /usr/lib/libportmidi.so
linux-gate.so.1 = (0xe000)

The current version of PortMidi included in Ubuntu is 20041117 while on the
mainstream web site[1] we can see that there's a version released on 20070117,
a huge difference. Can you please upgrade PortMidi?

This is likely to be a bug in the build scripts/makefile/etc which might be
solved automatically by upgrading to a new version of PortMidi as described on
issue #93730.
Since the current version is really old, upgrading first might be a good idea.

I think that the correct thing would be to say that the time code for
Greenwhich is GMT (like the time code for Buenos Aires, Argentina, is
ARS, etc) and GMT has daylight savings like other times. That is, GMT is
UTC 6 months a year.

In Kubuntu 6.10, RC1 I believe[1] when you put the CD you ca choose the keymap
with F3. I did it, chose Dvorak and a weir square appeared on a screen with
some text. I've booted and neither the console (text mode) nor the KDE session
has the keyboard in Dvorak mode. This

I can't do any further testing because I am not running Kubuntu anymore,
but I can explain what happened as a series of steps:
1. Set the screensaver to start in a minute.
2. Do not touch keyboard or mouse for a minute
3. Screensaver activates.

I know I know, why do I want to go to microsoft.com ? I don't, but having it
crashing Konqueror is not good. Konqueror should never crash.
Besides, if Microsoft's web site can crash Konqueror, Kubuntu's browser, it is
bad image.

After installing kchmpart I could open using them (using Dapper). So,
feel free to close this bug.
The association between kchmpart and .chm files didn't work as soon as I
installed the program but I think that might be normal, I bet upon re-
logging in it'll work. Feel free to check if you want.
