This is likely to be a bug in the build scripts/makefile/etc which might be
solved automatically by upgrading to a new version of PortMidi as described on
issue #93730.
Since the current version is really old, upgrading first might be a good idea.

It seems PortMidi is being compiled incorrectly.
PortMidi provides two libraries, libportmidi and libporttime. libportmidi uses
libporttime which means it should link against it, but it doesn't:
$ ldd /usr/lib/libportmidi.so

I think that the correct thing would be to say that the time code for
Greenwhich is GMT (like the time code for Buenos Aires, Argentina, is
ARS, etc) and GMT has daylight savings like other times. That is, GMT is
UTC 6 months a year.

In Kubuntu 6.10, RC1 I believe[1] when you put the CD you ca choose the keymap
with F3. I did it, chose Dvorak and a weir square appeared on a screen with
some text. I've booted and neither the console (text mode) nor the KDE session
has the keyboard in Dvorak mode. This us

crashing Konqueror is not good. Konqueror should never crash.
