I just confirmed this workaround does function on the ubuntu lucid alpha
3 live. I created a bootable sd card with unetbootin and the alpha3
iso, then edited the file syslinux.cfg on the sdcard and changed the
similar default line to the following:

I have this same hardware, and it's available for troubleshooting. As
listed above, this issue is still present in lucid alpha release 2, I'm
downloading alpha 3 now and will have it installed very shortly, please

I am reporting here because I thought depending on both the = and =
could be the problem, as I can not install the package either. Could it
be that the dependencies are not met if you don't have BOTH the = and
the = versions for libgs9? For me the option of installing the lower
version
I did force the older version of libgs8 (Do not know how to do it but
with synaptic package manager) and the dependency problem disappeared.
It sounds strange for me that the 'newer' version had got a lower number
than the 'older' one, but don't know about it, maybe the problem was

This problem appeared after I upgraded from Ubuntu 6.10 to 7.04. It
used to happen to me when I ran Fedora. I ran Fedora from 1 thru 6.
Every time a kernel update came in, VMware Server would stop running. I

If trying to downgrade the lib is the only way what is th procedure as I tried
this and it depends on an older version of x11-common.

I just discovered that my gdebi is broken as well. Same error as above.
sudo dpkg --configure -a doesn't resolve it.

Ok, got this partly fixed in my Feisty install. If I change the GDebi
symlink in /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages so that is points to gdebi-
core, the command-line gdebi works, but the GTK one is still broken.

I have a similar problem, using the glossy template, the graphics in
the title bar area of the template are not exported correctly to pdf.
Again, easy to reproduce, createa new presentation using the glossy
template, add some text to the tiltle area, save, and then export as
PDF. The output will

If you install aoetools on a very minimalist edgy system, it installs
cleanly, but aoe-mkdevs will not work because bc is missing.
Installing the bc package resolves this problem.
