Updates available in -proposed are not fully tested and verified as working. If
you have installed all updates available from -proposed you may have installed
something that is not working properly. You may find it simpler to erase your
hard disk and start again.

- enable trusty-proposed
- update ONLY mythbuntu-live-autostart from 0.69 to 0.70
- disable trusty-proposed
- Use desktop icon to install Mythbuntu
This installation fails.
Testing again, booting from ISO into live environment:
- enable trusty-propos
Looking at the logs in bug 1320439 (testing results), it is the same
error but on line 59 instead of line 58. This indicates that it is using
the new vnc.py, but still failing, so I will mark this as verification-
failed.

I can confirm that at least one scenario works.
When booting from hard disk with Mythbuntu 14.04 amd64 installed:
- enable trusty-proposed
- update mythbuntu-common from 0.73 to 0.74
- use Mythbuntu Control Centre to install VNC, including setting the password
VNC is installed successfully and the

This crash happened when testing updated mythbuntu-common package 0.74
from trusty-proposed as listed in bug 1290460.
This crash does not happen if VNC is not ticked in the installation
options.

Mythbuntu 14.04 crashes during install and the installation is not able
to proceed.
Both the x64 (amd64) and x86 (i386) installers crash during install with
the same error.
Tested on a VMware Workstation v9 VM and found the same issue.
Tested installing Ubuntu 14.04 x64 on
Rebuilt Mythbuntu 10.04 and Xubuntu 10.04 from scratch and installed
only updated hal, libhal1 & libhal-storage1 (all version
0.5.14-0ubuntu6) from lucid-proposed, rebooted -> bug fixed.

I added your PPA to my Software Sources and installed them successfully. They
show the right versions in Synaptic Package Manager.
Unfortunately it does not make a difference in either Mythbuntu 10.04 or
Xubuntu 10.04. Both of these were fresh builds to remove any previous
modifications.

This bug also prevents auto-mounting of CDs and DVDs in Mythbuntu 10.04
(Mythbuntu is a cut down version of Ubuntu with Xfce and MythTV). Auto-
mounting worked as expected in Mythbuntu 9.10.
Auto-login is turned on.
Logoff and manually login fixes it.
Editing /etc/rc.local to add hald does not see
hmm, I'm always accepting ubuntu-updates directly, hopeful that this update
will fix my problem. But so far, it haven't.
Well, if anyone have any tips, its more then welcome!
