Thinking about it again, an upstream fix for this is unlikely. slapd

Hi,
With compiz from trusty-proposed, the blacklist seems to be working fine

Thanks for the fix and backport!

Public bug reported:
Hi,
Somehow, the files installed by libpam0g-dbgsym:i386 in trusty do not
match libpam.so.0 itself.
root@ubuntu:~# dpkg-query -W libpam0g libpam0g-dbgsym
libpam0g:amd64 1.1.8-1ubuntu2
libpam0g:i386 1.1.8-1ubuntu2
libpam0g-dbgsym:amd64 1.1.8-1ubuntu2
This seems to be fixed in later releases. Using lib{nss,pam}-ldapd and
nslcd, with no custom configuration beyond dpkg-reconfigure nslcd, I
experience this bug in trusty, but not in utopic or vivid.
Also, in trusty I do not experience it when using alternative lockers
such as gnome-screensaver or
Hi,
We are going to do another Debian upload to fix two bugs described here:

I'll rebase this merge on top of that once it's finalized.

Hi,
casper 1.350 does not resolve the bug, because $USERNAME is not in the
initramfs' fstab.
Possible solutions:
chroot /root chown -R $USERNAME.$USERNAME /home/$USERNAME/.config
chown -R 999.999 /root/home/$USERNAME/.config
Thanks.

The X server used by FreeNX and X2Go does not support the IDLETIME

Sorry, I lied about utopic not being affected. The corresponding code in
unity-settings-daemon does fail -- differently, but it does fail. Patch
to follow shortly, after I check vivid...

Upon booting the 2015-01-2018 vivid livecd, the desktop session fails to
start because /home/ubuntu/.config is owned by root.
This appears to be the fault of scripts/casper-bottom/51unity8_wizard,
which runs as root.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04
Package:
Might be related to bug 781737. pam-ldap/nss-ldap dropping privileges
is, AFAIK, caused by libgcrypt (bug 423252). If this is the same bug,
then the pending openldap merge (bug 1395098) will resolve it, as gcrypt
will no longer be used. But switching to nss-pam-ldapd is a good
recommendation

A similar thing happens when you switch to a second user, and then
switch back to the original user. In this case the greeter actually is
sent SIGTERM, but the display server is stopped soon after, before the
cleanup has finished.
