I'm experiencing the same problem: updated to Artful Beta to find that
my VPN connection will not activate. The workaround details in

Unfortunately, this fix breaks Dell XPS 9550 with Samsung PM951 drives.
I now get a hung system due to the Samsung controller getting reset.

I'm seeing the same problem on my XPS 9550, running Yakkety under kernel
4.8.0-17. I've had this problem for a lot longer, though. Headset
detection doesn't work at all. Upon bootup audio is OK. after plugging
in a pair of headphone (with MIC in the wire) all audio is killed,
permanently, until aft

On a fresh install of Precise Pangolin I installed the NVidia drivers
through the 'Additional Drivers' menu dialog. This install fails with an
error. Looking into /var/log/jockey.log it seems that the install fails
due to a problem with missing kernel sources. I'm not sure if

precisely what I see. I think you can label my bug as a duplicate. I will,

I'm not sure I subscribe to this explanation. I had Lucid Lynx running on
this very same laptop and panel, and that was working without a hitch. To be
honest, I ran Kubuntu on that at the time, but technically this all seems to
work, it's just that Ubuntu doesn't take advantage. I will re
