I'm seeing the same problem on my XPS 9550, running Yakkety under kernel 4.8.0-17. I've had this problem for a lot longer, though. Headset detection doesn't work at all. Upon bootup audio is OK. after plugging in a pair of headphone (with MIC in the wire) all audio is killed, permanently, until after a reboot.
