I have the same problem and found a workaround:
$ sudo pm-hibernate
It's in the package pm-utils

I also have this bug in Kubuntu 14.10.
I've made a workaround that doesn't involve modifying distribution files.
I created the file /etc/grub.d/99_color_fix which sets the colors. See
attachment.

It has to do with the users creation.
First time I've select for installation the three OpenERP packages (server,
client and web).
Client and web installed fine, and server failed.
Then I've uninstalled client and web, delete the openerp-web user (my
