When I switch to tty I can log in as the same user who will be rejected on the
graphical login. I then switch back to X and I can log in.

to me this whole extra address book for syncing seems like a totally broken

I think providing the manual is a very good idea. How about talking to
the manual people, they could add a first page linking to other

On the hardisc there is a primary partition (hda3) with type 0xa6 (OpenBSD).
Ubiquity first tries to mount the OpenBSD partition and this process hangs
about 5 mins, i.e. there is a process os-probes running with most cpu time.
