To reproduce the bug :
1- open gnome-control-center
2- go to the keyboard section
3- Try to change one of the parameter.
You will ear that something is written on the HD as long as you move the cursor.
The same bug can be found in the mouse section of gnome-control-center
I run gnome shell but precise pangolin is running in virtualbox. And the
bug occurs in virtualbox. I don't think this bug is related to gnome
shell.

Hello
The bug appears when going in ccsm unity plugin, in the "Experimental"
tab. For the background color I change the opacity to something
different of 0. The icons of the launcher become black (see attachment).
Feel free any comment.

Thank you Alberto for your help. I've tried to do what you suggest and it
effectively correct the "bug". The question now is why gwibber is defined as
the default photo browser ?
Anyway that shouldn't be hard to correct this ! :)

I'm also concerned by this bug (today) but I'm not using any ppa. I
don't use synaptic neither. But it happened after running "apt-get
update" and "apt-get upgrade". So it seems to be related to update
process.

When going in the dash by clicking the logo ubuntu in the top left corner and
then clicking on "View photos" (between firefox and thunderbird icons) gwibber
is launched instead of Shotwell.

Yes but only for the appli in the foreground ! In the picture I've got nautilus
and terminal opened (see on the right) but no mark (white triangle) on the icon
of both applications. I think it's a difference between unity and unity-2d.
