I have updated the computer after several weeks of non-updates, as it is
not mine. So there might have been several kernel versions upgraded. I
thought that 2.6.24-24 was the lastest official version, but as I
understand you it is an unofficial one, so I'll check the repository in
sources.list next

got the same problem during the two days I was using KDE 3.5.5 under
Dapper.
I'm using pim stuff over dimap. kmail alone works fine.

Today I restarted my computer from a cold start and it works again. I
will test for some days and if things are ok I will makr this bug as

The same keyboard on another computer with the same feisty version works
fine. In addition, another USB keyboard (Microsoft Natural Ergonomic
Keyboard 4000) has the same problem with the computer producing the bug
and works fine with the other. The mainboard of the buggy computer is an
Asus P5LD2 S

linuxsampler web site uses a library versioning

proprietary ones, that might also have inconsistancies in licensing, but
that we do not see.

Of course I can use aoss, but then I get glitches, probably because of some
sampling rate problems.

imap are using the mail settings. Yet with the upgrade to gusty the

Binary package hint: kontact
Kontact crashs at startup. I'm currently running edgy RC, but I think I
got the same problem during the two days I was using KDE 3.5.5 under
Dapper.
I'm using pim stuff over dimap. kmail alone works fine.
Here is the output of the command line :
Today I restarted my computer from a cold start and it works again. I
will test for some days and if things are ok I will makr this bug as
invalid.

Today I got this problem again. I had freshly started my computer, same
as yesterday. I'll try to find any specific reasons that could trigger
crash and update bug report.

Installation of bitmap fonts does not work. If I try to install konsole
bitmap fonts, either directly from konsole or by hand, it results in
fonts not being installed. When I try again to install them in
fonts:/Personal, it asks me wether I want
Today I got the problem again, but before crash kontact displayed 4
times a "Copy file box" that was saying "Copying event n of 22366" (with
n going from 1 to 22366). Of course I've not so much event in my agenda,
I even doubt that I've that much mails.
I suspect it is an upstream bug that happens

This was fixed by the latest feisty update. I close it now and reopen if
it reappears.

The same keyboard on another computer with the same feisty version works
fine. In addition, another USB keyboard (Microsoft Natural Ergonomic
Keyboard 4000) has the same problem with the computer producing the bug
and works fine with the other. The mainboard of the buggy computer is an
Asus P5LD2 S

Under feisty, my Microsoft confort curve 2000 USB keyboard sometimes produces
several times the same letter although the key was pressed only once. I think
the problem is related to USB and not to the keboard as dmesg shows the
following messages several times :

Thanks for pointing the Accessibility area. Some keys work, others not. The
problem with the Accessibility area is that it is fairly low level : if I want
a key behave like the direction key I have to remap in for each combination of
shift and control ; but at least I can do
