The changes in the libwiicd and the other changes that I left out looked
like general improvement to the code and is introducing new features
which are not related to this bug report. The changes in the Makefile
and setup.py are also not related to this bug report.

hxtools was FTBFS in Noble as it was failing to find a symbol from libhx. Which
has been fixed in libhx_4.23.
Oracular will get the new package from Debian, and the other bug on hxtools
fixed the FTBFS for Noble, so all good now.

debdiff updated. the new error you noticed was caused as upstream has
split "PathConverter" in a separate repo and is now a separate package.

I can confirm that the dahdi-dkms package in jammy-proposed has fixed
the bug for me.
Test done:
1. Modify grub defauls to disable grub hidden timeout, and increase timeout
2. Install linux-generic to have both the kernel in the system
3. reboot to 5.15.0-102-generic kernel
