Serge, BTW... about /www/af and other directories under /www that seem to be missing, they are actually not part of Apache but my particular configuration with virtual hosts... I have some leftover .conf files in /etc/apache2/sites-available that are pointing to old sites which I have since

Ok, found a fix... I don't think it's particularly elegant (reminds me of Windows), but it seems to have worked... According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/576255, I tried what serggt1 (post #6) suggested. For me, it complained about the upwards dependency of the PHP5
