Fixed the world group writeable problems but I still get dependency
errors which seem to begin with ERROR: Module reqtimeout does not
exist!

Serge, BTW... about /www/af and other directories under /www that
seem to be missing, they are actually not part of Apache but my
particular configuration with virtual hosts... I have some leftover
.conf files in /etc/apache2/sites-available that are pointing to old
sites which I have since
Ok, found a fix... I don't think it's particularly elegant (reminds me
of Windows), but it seems to have worked...

upwards dependency of the PHP5

In this case, the update just reported failing and the bug reporting
process took me here. Synaptic reports apache2.2-common
2.2.14-5ubuntu8.2 as latest AND installed, so it seems like it
