Intrepid 8.10 / Nautilus / gedit
Problem:
Nautilus opens files over SSH mount (with gedit) as read-only when not owner,
*even when you have permissions to write through group*. In Hardy (8.04) files
open just fine as writable.
Expected:

This is also the case in Intrepid. It happens when (un)mounting both
USB-stick and memorycard.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Minimize all windows
2) Insert removable media (USB-stick, memorycard, etc)
3) Watch the desktop icons disappear while nautilus is restarting
Usually I get a nautilus-window,
This problem still occurs in Ubuntu 8.10 final.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Rhythmbox and play a song (in my case mp3)
- Pause playback and leave Rhythmbox open for a long period
- Continue playback
Rhythmbox will not continue to play.
Sound in general is gone, and playback via Totem shows the

I have 2 CD-/DVD-drives and a USB card-reader with 4 slots.
In Ubuntu Hardy none of these 6 removable medias were visible in
places/nautilus until a CD or memory-card was inserted. This gave Ubuntu
a clean look.
In Ubuntu Intrepid all 6 medias

Hi,

its dependencies (and using dpkg --purge to clear the configuration

I get this problem too, on Feisty Kubuntu with AMD64 and nVidia X
driver. I have a feeling it is related to that.
However I have found a workaround that works every time and that
suggests to me it is something in the environment. When this starts
happening I get Segmentation fault (core dumped)
