This bug affects me using JSPWIki V2.8.4 and 2.8.9. I've found that if
you create an empty folder under webapps the tomcat6 will start this and
this can be seen in the manager app. If you use JSPWiki.war with
tdeploy in the manager or expand the JSPWiki.war under webapps or create

Thanks for the response. The mic is unmuted. The problem is not to do
with Skype, Skype was a way of solving the problem. The problem exists
after the machine is booted and before Skype runs hence it's not Skype.
My work around was to write a script that 'opens' the webcam during the
boot

Mic used to work but now does not unless either Ekiga is run or Skype is
run but then for Skype only after Options-Video-Test is run then mic
works in all apps, eg Sound Recorder, PulseAudio_Volume_Control. System
is Ubuntu 10.04 plus all updates to date 2010-11-08.

I have this or a similar problem on Mythbuntu 8.04.1 (64). Amarok won't
mount cds from new external usb drive I have which seems to be scsi over
usb. External drive works ok for boot, MLC media player plays the discs
