[Bug 1479438] Re: IN CAR: Battery levels not shared via bluetooth for in car experience

2016-01-11 Thread Tony Espy
@Matthias So what you're saying is that you see the correct battery level displayed in your car the first time after you connect the phone and car, and then after you restart the car, the battery level is just shown as full? Once this happens, does the battery level displayed ever change or does

[Bug 1270189] Re: Ubuntu Touch devices are using cellular DNS servers over wifi connection

2016-01-08 Thread Tony Espy
@Lorn It was designed this way in order to make the switching from WiFi back to the mobile data connection fast. Re-working this fundamental design decision IMHOP would be a significant amount of work, and it's not like our current queue of NM related is empty... I think in the short term if

So basically what I'm seeing is that system-settings doesn't recognize the change of networking technology, and eventually times out after 4-5m, at which point the "Connect to the Internet" message is displayed. I have yet to see the spinner go forever as Pat suggests. I did however hit a crash

I also mentioned a crash above. This occurred after my fourth or fifth try on krillin/OTA8.5. When I clicked the back button to return to the main settings page, the page was rendered with stretched icons, then it crashed and I had to relaunch. The backtrace from the crashfile looks like this:

I can't reproduce either. I toggled WiFi and FlightMode both a few times and checked the MAC address via "ip addr". The MAC address is reported the same for wlan0 each time. I also verified that /persist/wifi/.macaddr exists, and is set to the same MAC addr reported by ip.
