As of today, the HAL / automount feature is not working again.
CDROMs, DVDROMs, USB memory and memory cards don't trigger the usual friendly
pop up dialog asking for actions (playing, opening/mounting etc.).
I'm runnig an up-to-date Kubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3.5.9.
I confirm that those HAL scripts are

Notifications".
All items here cannot be deleted or modified. Is this a bug?
Then I went to "Add" and added everything was there with "dolphin %u" as an
action. I applied the changes and magically I saw the things happeni

And I cannot copy files to the storage (USB memory stick) because of some
permissions if I use dolphin.
The mount point (/media/disk) has been given the group ownership to root but
this should not prevent me from copying files there.
Infact I can copy files from commandline.

I can do that and will post the results.
But the point remains: it used to work and now it doesn't, without any

every while.

For example, in Firefox v3.0.3 only controls displayed for web pages have the

Public bug reported:
I'm running KDE 3.5.10 (but this was happening also with 3.5.9).
Whenever any GTK+ application needs to display a radio button or a check box,
the one I check is displayed in a weird way (actually a small white square, see
attached snapshot).
As soon as a redraw is required
