Thank you for your help. I found similar problem posted in another
thread and solution from there seems to work. Actually problem was in a
file belonging to open-office. I had to un-install it before upgrading
and it worked.

The RAM usage goes up by a 100 MB too almost. Otherwise it is definitely the

The issue persists if I use the LANG as en_US.UTF-8 which is the
default. However, if I use LANG=C and start OO.org Writer through

I have recently installed ubuntu 9.04 (desktop, i386). I installed skim-1.4.5
for inputting in my local language (Tamil). I am successful in using skim with
almost all the application except kmymoney2-0.9.2.

Yeah,while trying to copy music from my ubuntu to fat32 partition the
