@mbarak Yes, that makes a difference. If you individually whitelist the
items in the indicator panel, then you'll not face this issue.

@Mandy - could be true about the combo boxes. But apart from that, there
are black border boxes that I'm referring to in the screenshot (attached
in my earlier post), and jagged edges to Sheet 1, Sheet 2 & Sheet3 tabs,
and lastly the the arrow keys in the Calc screenshot. That's not as much
pronoun
@Mandy - I'm not sure about that. I tried the theme "New wave" which
comes by default, and it looks better than Ambiance. And I found it to
be a comparatively darker theme, than say Clearlooks.

The issue persists if I use the LANG as en_US.UTF-8 which is the

Then the issue does not occur. Probably it is related to the language
issue?
I am able to see the ACL tab. Using Jaunty 2.6.28-11-generic 64 Bit, and
eiciel 0.9.6.1-2ubuntu1. The change that I had made was to put "acl" as
a parameter in /etc/fstab and remount - till the time you don't put it,
it doesn't appear. Oh, and I'd also installed nautilus-scripts, just in
case.

Confirmed as above, on a Fresh Jaunty 9.04 64 Bit Desktop. I have 3
imaps accounts and have enabled 'Load images in messages from contacts'
option. It gets stuck, and works if I do 'killall evolution-data-

I am having the exact same problem. I am trying to install AsteriskNOW
1.0.2 (32-bit) on a virtual machine. The case here is
1. I already have a Virtual Machine with /dev/sda5 as its primary storage. That
machine is shutdown.
2. Through virt-manager I add a Storage Drive to it (an IDE CDROM), and
I also encountered this and was initially baffled. I think it would be a
good idea if the user is either informed that the repositories are not
enabled, or better, give the user an option to enable the repositories.

Just an addition to this, using en_IN with xmms or other GTK 1.2
applications has missing text (as in attached screenshot) which goes
away if LANG=C is used. Probably there's a larger problem than just
Evolution.

Using "LANG=C" and starting evolution works perfectly without any

I did an "echo $LANG" and "en_IN" was listed. While configuring
Evolution, I selected "Asia/Calcutta". I am residing in India. Hope
that'd help.

Binary package hint: evolution
I'm using Edgy Eft with Evolution 2.8.1.
When I open up the 'Tasks' window and create a new task, the task is
listed properly.
When I right click on the Task and select - 'Assign Task', it opens up a
form where I need to enter the details.
