Same thing happens to me too. The only thing I can do is to browse the
files from my phone, and copy the file to the desktop.
Other problems:

I got sec_error_inadequate_key_usage for all the servers using self
signed certs. Firefox 3 Beta 4 lets me add an exception, but Beta 5 just
gives me a flat out error. I had to use a different browser just to use

As of Firefox 3 Beta 5, and possibly new updates to Firefox 2, all self-
signed certs are considered invalid, and is done in such a way that you
can never bypass them. I encountered this when I recently updated Hardy.

Craig: I setup static IP using the nm-applet, not by editing the
/etc/network/interfaces by hand. In 8.04, it disables networking
entirely until I updated network-manager package. Still, apps like
firefox, and nm-applet reports that I have no working network.

Installed the latest network-manager package (0.7) and what I managed to
get static ip work, after a reboot. The system boots up with the static
IP, without the need to login, which is the behaviour I like (compared
with other distros). nm-applet however reports "No network connection"
even though

* Click on nm-applet,
* chose Manual Configuration
* Click unlock
* Chose eth0
* Uncheck Enable Roaming Mode
* Change the configuration to use static
