As of Firefox 3 Beta 5, and possibly new updates to Firefox 2, all self- signed certs are considered invalid, and is done in such a way that you can never bypass them. I encountered this when I recently updated Hardy. I hope that the firefox developers are looking into this, as when I search around

Installed the latest network-manager package (0.7) and what I managed to get static ip work, after a reboot. The system boots up with the static IP, without the need to login, which is the behaviour I like (compared with other distros). nm-applet however reports "No network connection" even though

I'm sure network-manager is supposed to support multiple configurations. I need static IP on my system, I'm not using WiFi. Here's what I do: * Click on nm-applet, * chose Manual Configuration * Click unlock * Chose eth0 * Uncheck Enable Roaming Mode * Change the configuration to use static
