Same here. How to fix problem? Do you change the driver to the older
NVIDIA driver? Or how else do I fix it- it's very annoying.

for me (on Lucid Lynx 10.04, HP Pavilion Laptop). That bug affected me
for ages.

Hi, thanks for the replies. It has happened twice to me now.
First time, I spent a long time trying to fix it, but fixed it by
reinstalling ALSA at last.
This time, I tried that but it didn't work. It just randomly started
working 5 minutes ago!
The cause of the bug was that I pressed the mute

I changed my mind, if I'm going to be using open source OS, the least I can
do it to comply with requests such as yours. So:
1) I download the program afresh and installed it from a CD "inside" Avista
SP1
2) I was able to get to the OS and download all the updates -- would
linux-image-2.6.27* have
Frankly, I'm a little gun-shy right now. Somehow or another, Ubuntu was
creating a conflict with Vista and the "work-around" didn't always work, so
I uninstalled Ubuntu. I want to wait until A5 is released before
reinstalling.
So should I download the program again or what?
