Changing the titlebar doesn't work for me, not does using emerald. The
window decoration comes and goes as it pleases.
If I hover the cursor over the button area the decoration returns. Using
different themes alters the behaviour slightly, but the basic issue
remains.

Hi, I'm not totally sure what you mean but this is the gdb output when I
try to replicate the crash - gedit doesn't actually crash so much as
just hang when running it under gdb:

I have a similar problem, I first noticed it using OODraw about 4 days
ago. I open OODraw from the applications menu, try "Save" or "Save As"
and OODraw crashes. If I run:

javaldx: Could not find a Java Runtime Environment!
and the program starts fine and I can save without a problem.
8.04 fully up-to-date. I've done some more investigation and tried
browsing different sftp servers and only one of them causes the crash -
and even then only on one folder, called "web". This folder also happens
to be the root of a bookmark I've set up - not sure if that has anything

When using gedit to browse a mounted sftp location for a file to open,

The browse facility is nautilus like, and on navigating a location
several "breadcrumb" buttons appear. Using these but
I can confirm this. It is of course possible to bookmark the place, but
that adds a layer between the user and the server.

Thanks Andreas the linux-backports-modules-hardy package has fixed the
slow connection problems I was having with the standard module:
transferring across the network now is ~1mb/s as expected, around the
same as I get with the legacy rt73 module. Will see how it pans out,
looking good so far.

My rt73 chipset shows no noticeable improvement using the test v4.
Similar to Olivia's experience of the standard Hardy module - I can
connect and surf the web, but the speed is variable and really slow
~80kbps (WPA).
I'm back using the legacy rt73 module which compiles and works really
well on th
0.7.4 was only introduced to Hardy a few days ago so I'm guessing
there's enough time for bug fixes . It would be great
to think that particular fix would be backported.

Over the last 2 days the updates to Ubuntu Hardy beta have brought back
the load_cycle_count increase on my laptop. Have added "hdparm -B 192

Yes I suppose it's more of a feature request in this case, but it's
certainly a feature I'd love to see. I too set htm documents to open
with gedit, but if I click a link in Firefox it doesn't open the page up
in a text editor!!!

following:
1) Just plugging in and removing bluetooth dongle
2) Plugging in dongle and using Multisync to synchronise Evolution and
phone
3) Plugging in dongle, browsing phone memory card, unmounting phone,
