I have an Asus G75.
I'm running Windows 7 for the moment, hoping to solve these hybrid issues and
install Linux SolusOS 64-bit.
I don't know how to show you my specs, since I'm on Windows, but here is a link

I am now on Ubuntu 8.10. The Terratec Cinergy C PCI tv tuner card
(dvb-c) is still not recognized automatically. I have gotten it to work
by manually compiling the drivers, but I have to recompile every time
the kernel is updated. I haven't really tried getting the remote control

the fact that the network manager in kubuntu feisty cannot handle static
