That is probably due to workaround with "nouveau.modeset=0"
If so, without that flag system won't even boot to allow to collect detailed
information about the bug. Although, I'll try to reproduce this bug by running
latest available Ubuntu from USB stick later today.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1121 box with Oneiric Ocelot that was recently
upgrade to the first Precise beta. After the upgrade, I've got a
degradation: if I suspend/resume, I can't connect to any WiFi network
although networks can be seen in Network Manager. System stuff follows:
