Yesterday I experimented installing Ubuntu 16.04.1, 16.10, 17.04 and Fedora 25.

- I installed 'Xenial' for the first time at the beginning of February
(don't remember the exact kernel version, but for sure it was one from
the '4.4 series'). Initially I didn't have this error, it appeared later
after some updates. Then one day I received a massi
I suppose 'mmc' is a 'memory card reader'. As I never use it, I always
turn off 'memory card reader' inside bios settings but unfortunatelly
there is no such an option in my new Lenovo notebook.

server,...) that somehow broke my computer totally, so please bear in mind that
now I'm running freshly installed 'xenial-desktop-amd64.iso 04-Mar-2016'

After upgrading BIOS to the latest "CDCN30WW" version, changing few BIOS
settings (secure boot disabled, intel virtual technology disabled, intel
platform trust technology disabled), and upgrading kernel to the latest
"4.4.0-8-generic" version - some problems are solved: nr.1, nr.3, nr.6, nr.12
Boot error after installing yesterday updates:

open source drivers can boot gui, when fglrx is installed display is not usable.
something is missing/broken when installing fglrx so i'm guessing this issue is
related to installation.
it worked on ubuntu 12.04/12.10
$ apt-get install fglrx-updates

what i've expected after installation (apt-get install db2exc) is that default
db2 instance w/ related services will be running properly.
