I believe this was due to a package installation (nvidia X server
settings) which installed the proprietary nvidia drivers over nouveau. I
haven't been able to repro once the proprietary drivers were

the font isn't displayed in gitk properly (shows up as an empty square)

It's not triaged. The ability to click on the volume button and then
scroll the mouse slider, as long as you are moused-over a tiny area is
not an effective solution. This bug should be considered confirmed.

OK. So I was a happy user of 16.04. With a new computer in August, I
thought it would make sense to go with 18.04.
One of the biggest issues is this searching stuff in Nautilus. Why?
1. It is not instant (unlike the type/find ahead of Nautilus in 16.04). I

We did get around to do more testing and follow suggestions. The
filesystem corruption could be reproduced. The run was done bypassing
multipathing and using a single path directly.
OUTPUT reproduce.sh (tail):
+ fstrim -v /mnt/san
/mnt/san: 120 TiB (131939249291264 bytes) trimmed
+ umount -vvv /m
For us, fstrim was the frontend to the bug and running it consistently
damaged our filesystems. That is why util-linux was chosen as the
affected package. Also removing the cron file will not be sufficient as
any update to the package (using cron-apt) might re-install it. Maybe a
conflicting change
