Public bug reported: Also tried to manually install it while still in live system, but got: $ sudo grub-install --no-floppy /dev/sda /usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a device for /boot/grub (is /dev mounted?). while ls /dev/ lists all devices (including sda). Sorry about not comparing
