The external USB drive was formatted as Fat32 as /dev/sdc1 and now has an msdos
partition table. (This is in lieu of the three partitions it used to have. -
one Windows XP and two Linux)
An installation of Windows XP on /dev/sda1 was unaffected by the upgrade to

I installed Ubuntu 10.10 over 10.04. During the installation, 10.10
accessed my 500 GB external USB drive with 3 partitions on it, The
drive was formatted! These were backup files and I am very worried by
this action.

1. How do I find the Windows driver for my Atheros 168c.002a?

This may be a residue of the first message I tried to send.
Outbox shows there is a message waiting to go. But I cannot display it, and
cannot flush it.
When I do a send/receive I get an error trying to send this thing.
So every send ends in error with outbox reporting 1 message still to go.
I am also getting this.
I suspect it has something to do with trying to send using imap to a pop server.
Now that we have corrected the destination to be pop, the imap attempt is stuck
in the outbox. (?maybe)
