I'm also affected by this bug.
The drawing can be very simple, just a few arrowed lines and rectangles, when I
zoom-in (using + key) everything slows down progressively until the whole
system becomes unusable when I aproach max zoom-in. The problem dissapears when
I deactivate "Use Anti-Aliasing

Extracting a file with german "Umlaut" in the filename doesn't
I'm also affected by this bug, zip archives containing files with
filenames containing accented or special characters like: á, é, í, ó, ú
can not be extracted (I get this error message: "caution: filename not
matched") nor renamed.

Bug update: Now I have Ubuntu 8.10 and Firefox 3.06. I dragged the icon
of a web page (the one left to the address bar) to the bookmarks menu,
waited until the menu displayed and dragged down to a position on the
root menu (not in any folder) and droppped it there. But moments after I

I reproduced this bug just as Motasim Sakallah said (and setting "all
files"), with Dolphin 0.9.2 using KDE 3.5.10. I thougt hardy still had
support but seems that this will annoy me until I install Intrepid in
Jan-2009, when KDE 4.2 will come out.
